Dan's discomfort is easing a titch. (spell check will love that) but his knee has doubled in size. Last night we wrapped a Tylenol Heat Patch on it and he said that made the night easier to get through. He wants to try again tonight. Since the injury occurred while he was on a job I have begun filling out a worker's comp application should he need xrays or further treatment. Getting him to a doctor is unbelievably difficult. We are talking about a guy who stitches his own wounds. Yeah.
I feel some progress has been made meeting with the Dr. today but alas, I need to have another couple of tests to check out my esophagus and swallowing functions. Also the stomach muscles may not be moving at the normal pace which slows down digestion. I heard much about the importance of water and being hydrated. Eat 6 times a day, have a glass of water with each meal. I was surprised to learn that immediately I must stop milk, cheese, red meat and high fructose corn syrup (which promotes constipation) and a host of other things. She gave me a sample dietary plan. I will share more with you. Not consuming milk also includes cream soups which are my favorite. Ah, well, at least we are finally moving forward.
Oh, yes, 3 of those polyps were pre-cancerous for sure. She said I don't know what made you decide to have your colonoscopy, but it was good you did. The scariest part of the whole issue is that my own proctologist from 2001 told me last year I didn't need another one for a few more years, instead of the recommended every 10 years. My intestinal infection saved my life.
